Giovanna Nava moved to Quinzano d’Oglio (BS) when she was very young, before World War II. Once arrived in Brescia area, she started her business first as a collaborator, then as a partner of a small workshop, that she took over in 1947 equipping it with the first knitting machine.

Supported by her husband Gottardo Adiansi, who followed the business part, she founded “Confezioni Gianna” knitwear factory creating a small workshop inside their house.

With their children they opened a branch in a town nearby Cremona, called IMAF (Industria Maglificio Adiansi Fratelli – Industry Kntiwear Factory Adiansi Brothers), where about 60 people found employment.

Later, they took over another knitwear factory in Crema and the factory in Quinzano has been expanded, so that both Confezioni Gianna and IMAF have been unified into one factory with about 250 working employees.

Thanks to her experience, many important raw materials national producer cooperated with Giovanna Nava to create innovative products. Famous stylists of the time and important international companies also cooperated with her, directly or indirectly.

In the mid-seventies IRI group made use of Mario Adiansi’s technical and organizing skills in the conversion of Monti Confezioni facory located in Roseto degli Abruzzi (TE) with about 2000 employees.

In the early 90’s Mario Adiansi decided to start his own business, establishing Landlord in 1994.

In 2000 Landlord management passed into the hands of Paolo, son of Mario Adiansi.
In 2005 Landlord opened the first office in China, in Qingdao first and then in Nanjing and Rugao, where the company still produces today.
